what you really ask for

a few months ago i met this guy ben while browsing in borders, and we started talking and he shared about how he would get really bored if he didnt read his bible. like wow man! so when i went home i prayed about it and i wanted it too! but since then it has been a faded prayer, until a few days ago when i started really reading God's word, and if i didnt i would be bored stiff!

and thats a good thing, but im in the 'transistion' stage, where right now im still dwelling in the realms of the earthly. for example i would be really bored and i used to play games when i was bored but when i play games now its just so dreary. but on the other hand im still kind of unable to focus when reading God's word so i declare that i'm in the transistion from worldly to Christ-seeking.

woot :)

what you really live for

the past few days ive not had one where i wasnt moved to tears. everytime im listening to an mp3 sermon or hearing a testimony sometimes i just get this welling in my eyes and like im in the middle of the MRT. :O
i might be getting emo. but really this i do feel, so much love from God, i really feel in touch with God now <3 i can clutch my heart and know that Jesus is beating in there; all im living for.

this is me. now and forever more; with Christ.

commitment

is this generation shy, proud or are we afraid to be held accountable to what we committed to do? is it sufficient to commit to something in your heart but not stand when the pastor asks for a standing response? after all, God does look at the heart and not outwardly shows.

no, its not sufficient. being 'shy' is being afraid of being held to your commitments; standing up is so that people recognise your commitment and are free to ask you about it. it doesnt matter that the pastor says 'while all eyes are closed and all heads bowed', people around you know when you stand up, they have ears to hear shuffling and they have skin to feel when you stand up.

you should be proud to make a commitment to the Lord; you are guilty and should be ashamed of it, but you should be proud to say that YOUR GOD is powerful enough to change you. and it's your responsibility to claim the promises in the bible and say that 'God i stand on your promises and stand up today and respond to this altar call because i KNOW that you keep your word and i KNOW you'll change me the moment i stand up'

when we make commitments, let's not keep to ourselves, but share with others and have them hold us accountable to it. we need all the prayer and support we can get! thats what the church is for. dont commit to standards you can accomplish on your own but commit to standards that you can only accomplish with God's help. think like the saved, like the triumphant!

are you ready to boldly jump up and respond for your next altar call?

destination?

i think unhappiness comes the most from going where i did not put as my destination.
lets take for example, housework. if you take it as 'something that needs to be done', so that you can get on with what you're supposed to do, then you obviously wont like it. one of the things i have to learn is to enjoy the journey, enjoy washing the dishes, take my time and not get stressed because theres sooooo much to do and i need to get to it pronto!
rahr, do you like your path now?
