religious tolerance
has society grown to be more open to religion and be more tolerable to each other? yes we have; except for Christianity. we have always been the 'ideal' role model players and because of that we decide ourselves that we should be the ones showing 'love' and religious tolerance. in the process of being 'religiously tolerant' we have simply allowed others to step all over what is true to us.
yes, we have backed ourselves into a corner and kept within our own community, preaching to everyone who comes within our safety limits (which happens to be the church. only.) we don't dare to take religion out into the streets and witness for Christ, even to our friends, all we do is ask them to come to church; do we tell them about Christ, about why they are doomed to hell? only breifly. an invitation to church is not a call to salvation, its not considered as hearing the gospel.
we cannot just stand in our own squares anymore, we cannot play defensive, we have to move our pieces and invade for Christ. we cannot stay lukewarm to the fact that all our friends are going to perish in hell for thinking that they are 'following the truth'. i'm not promoting hatred for other religions, i'm simply saying that people get misguided and they need to know God for who he really is.
the truth has to be told, 'love' is not religious tolerance. love is telling your misguided friend the truth that is real to you- that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven; like it or not. people hate christianity because christianity believes that anyone who doesnt believe in Christ will go straight to hell, dont pass go, no 200 dollars.
im sorry if you're a non christian reading this, but this is the truth; your believing that the sun would shine everyday for all eternity does not affect the truth that it will eventually collapse; your inability to see the waterfall beyond the horizon doesnt mean that hell doesnt exist.
if you are a non christian, i urge you to think where you are right now, and consider what happens after you die. there IS an afterlife, everything around us proves it.
for the Christian, its time to get off your bum, and not be a lukewarm servant of God. its time for all of us to march as one army; because Christ is coming back and satan will do all he can to pick us off; and he goes for the lone ranger. so walk together as one.

i am not promoting hatred to any other religion, i am simply stating the viewpoint i have.
yes, i do need to read up and understand other religions and cultures more; i have neglected that. but my firmness in approaching the subject is because Christians have become soft and it is only needful to tell them that.
i do hope you'll give thought about it rather than take offense immediately. apart from the strong opinion i give, there is some truth in what i am putting across, and i hope that you will take the time to see what's beyond my writing.

i dont see how stating the truth as of what you believe it to be constitutes any form of ignorance.

i think your post is good in intention, but,... some of the arguments are not valid.
>>> the ones in this paragraph (explanation follows)
im sorry if you're a non christian reading this, but this is the truth; your believing that the sun would shine everyday for all eternity does not affect the truth that it will eventually collapse; your inability to see the waterfall beyond the horizon doesnt mean that hell doesnt exist.

the reason is, christianity is not the only religion that believes in the afterlife. christianity is also not the only religion that believes that that religion is the ONLY way to salvation.
so jawn, your homework now is, go and figure out why Christianity IS the way. and it has nothing to do with hell, heaven and the afterlife.
